Taliban Claims New Administrative System Has Reduced Corruption

DID Press: Taliban’s Ministry of Communications says a newly introduced document and correspondence system across government institutions has helped reduce administrative corruption and improve transparency.

Ministry spokesperson Enayatullah Alokozai stated that the system enhances administrative security, accelerates accountability processes, and streamlines document management within state institutions.

He added that the initiative has also facilitated public service delivery and standardized information exchange among government departments, making it faster and more efficient.

The claim comes, however, amid continued reports from media outlets and public accounts suggesting that issues such as bribery, discrimination, and legal violations remain prevalent in Taliban-run institutions, with little perceived difference from previous governance structures.
