Afghan Pilgrims Begin Returning Home from Saudi Arabia

DID Press: Ministry of Hajj & Religious Affairs under the Taliban administration has announced the start of the return process for approximately 30,000 Afghan pilgrims following the completion of Hajj rituals in Saudi Arabia.

The ministry said the return operation will be carried out over the next 30 days through coordinated air transfers.

According to the plan, Afghan pilgrims will be transported in two phases via four main air corridors, including Kabul, Balkh, Kandahar, and Herat.

The first return flight departed from Jeddah and landed at Kabul International Airport, carrying 346 pilgrims from Nangarhar province along with seven Hajj instructors.

The ministry added that the full repatriation process will be completed through 97 scheduled flights within one month.
