Heavy Rain and Flood Risk Alert Issued for 16 Afghanistan Provinces
DID Press: Taliban’s meteorological authorities have warned of heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and possible flash floods across 16 provinces during June 3–4, urging residents to take precautionary measures.

According to the Taliban administration’s disaster preparedness agency, forecasts from the national meteorological department and international monitoring organizations indicate a high likelihood of intense rainfall and flooding in several parts of the country.
The provinces identified as being at risk include Parwan, Panjshir, Bamyan, Paktia, Khost, Logar, Maidan Wardak, Balkh, Samangan, Sar-e Pol, Baghlan, Takhar, Badakhshan, Nangarhar, Kunar, and Nuristan.
Authorities have advised residents to avoid rivers, valleys, and flood-prone areas and to take necessary precautions to minimize potential casualties and property damage.
