Argentina Records Highest Inflation Among G20 Economies, China Lowest

DID Press: Argentina has posted the highest inflation rate among G20 economies in 2026, highlighting continued price pressures across several major emerging markets, while China recorded the lowest inflation rate in the group.

According to the latest figures, Argentina registered annual inflation of 30.4%, the highest among G20 members. Turkey followed with 28.6%, while Russia ranked third at 5.6%.

Among other major economies, India, Brazil and Australia reported inflation rates ranging between 4% and 5%.

At the other end of the spectrum, China recorded the lowest inflation rate at 1.2%. France followed with 1.8%, while Japan reported 2.2%.

Meanwhile, Indonesia posted inflation of 3.0%, slightly below both the United States and the United Kingdom, which each recorded 3.2%.

The figures underscore significant differences in inflationary pressures across the world’s largest economies, reflecting varying monetary policies, domestic demand conditions, and external economic challenges.
