Afghan Chamber Chief Begins 4-Nation Tour to Attract Investment
DID Press: Head of Afghanistan’s Chamber of Commerce and Investment has begun an official tour of Uzbekistan, India, Kyrgyzstan and China aimed at attracting investment, expanding private-sector ties and creating new opportunities for Afghan businesses.

According to a statement issued by the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI), Chairman Sayed Karim Hashemi will participate in several major regional and international forums and exhibitions during the trip.
The chamber said Hashemi is scheduled to attend the Fifth Tashkent International Investment Forum in Uzbekistan, the Bharat Buildcon International Exhibition in India, the Afghanistan-Kyrgyzstan Private Sector Business Forum, and the Shanghai Exhibition and Conference in China.
“The objective of these visits is to attract investment, strengthen Afghanistan’s private-sector relations with regional countries, and create new opportunities for Afghan traders and investors,” the statement said.
On the sidelines of these events, Hashemi is expected to meet government officials, chamber leaders, private-sector representatives, investors and business figures from participating countries to discuss ways to expand economic and commercial cooperation.
The ACCI said the engagements are intended to promote trade, investment and broader economic partnerships between Afghanistan and regional states.
