Japan to Invest $35M in Afghanistan Development Projects

DID Press: Japan will invest $35 million in development projects across Afghanistan this year, according to Japanese Ambassador Kenichi Masamoto during a meeting with Din Mohammad Hanif, the Taliban administration’s acting minister of economy.

The projects are aimed at improving economic conditions, strengthening essential infrastructure, and supporting Afghanistan’s broader development efforts.

During the meeting, the two sides also discussed economic and development cooperation, as well as ways to expand bilateral engagement. The Japanese ambassador reaffirmed Tokyo’s commitment to continuing development and humanitarian assistance programs in Afghanistan.
