Pakistan Jamaat-e-Islami Calls for Priority Completion of Iran–Pakistan Gas Pipeline
DID Press: Leader of Pakistan’s Jamaat-e-Islami party has called for accelerating the Iran–Pakistan gas pipeline project, reducing fuel prices, and expanding free trade between the two countries.

Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, head of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, stressed the importance of strengthening economic ties between Tehran and Islamabad, urging the swift completion of the long-delayed gas pipeline project.
He also called for an immediate reduction in fuel prices and the establishment of free trade between the two neighboring countries.
Commenting on recent regional developments, he described the Iran–US agreement and ceasefire as a “historic victory for Iran,” saying it demonstrated that no power can impose its will on a united nation.
He further emphasized the need to strengthen national unity within Pakistan and to draw lessons from shifting regional dynamics.
