DID Press: Yossi Verter, a columnist for the Israeli newspaper Haaretz, has launched a sharp attack on Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, describing him as a “failure” and a “liar” in connection with Israel’s handling of the Iran file.

Verter argued that U.S. President Donald Trump sidelined Netanyahu from negotiations aimed at ending tensions with Iran, an action he said amounted to a political “humiliation” of the Israeli leader.
In a strongly worded article titled “Shameless, the architect of failure claimed he saved Israel from collective death; this is just another lie,” Verter accused Netanyahu of misleading the public and presiding over what he described as a major strategic setback for Israel.
He wrote that Netanyahu is now facing what “any impartial expert would define as a major strategic failure for Israel,” adding that the only message he continues to offer citizens is the claim that “Iran will never acquire nuclear weapons.”
