Taliban Agriculture Minister Meets Senior Indian Official to Expand Cooperation

DID Press: Attaullah Omari, the Taliban’s Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Livestock, has met with Pabitra Margherita during his official visit to New Delhi, with both sides emphasizing expanded cooperation in agriculture, livestock, trade, and related industries.

According to a statement from the Taliban Ministry of Agriculture, the meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation, increasing production capacity, developing joint markets, exchanging technical expertise, and enhancing economic ties between Afghanistan and India.

The ministry said discussions also covered opportunities for cooperation in agricultural sectors and improving trade relations between Kabul and New Delhi.

Omari arrived in New Delhi on Tuesday, and the meeting was described as part of the Taliban’s efforts to expand agricultural and economic engagement with India.
