DID Press: Muhammad has remained the most popular name for baby boys in England and Wales for the third consecutive year, according to the latest figures released by the UK’s Office for National Statistics (ONS).

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) reported that nearly 6,000 boys were registered with the name Muhammad in 2025, maintaining its position as the country’s most popular boys’ name for a third straight year.
The name ranked well ahead of Noah, which placed second, with approximately 2,000 fewer registrations.
The latest figures reflect the continued popularity of the name across England and Wales, where it has consistently ranked among the country’s most frequently chosen baby names in recent years.
