Mazar-e-Sharif Holds Ceremony Honoring Martyred Leader of Islamic Revolution

DID Press: A large memorial ceremony honoring Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Martyred Leader of Islamic Revolution, was held in Mazar-e-Sharif with the participation of religious scholars, local officials, representatives of Iran’s consulate, and thousands of residents.

The mourning and commemoration ceremony was held at the Grand Mosque and Sultanian Religious School in Mazar-e-Sharif, attended by scholars, local authorities, the Iranian consul general and officials from the Iranian consulate, as well as people from the city and surrounding districts.

Speakers at the event praised the figure’s religious and political contributions, highlighting what they described as his role in promoting unity among Muslims, supporting Islamic causes, and advancing religious values.

Participants also paid tribute during the ceremony and emphasized the continuation of efforts toward unity, dignity, and solidarity among Muslim communities.

The event concluded with Quran recitation, speeches by religious scholars, prayers, and recitation of Fatiha in memory of the deceased.
