DID Press: Reports of missile strikes, explosions, and maritime incidents emerged across the Middle East on Tuesday, with local media and security sources claiming attacks on shipping near the United Arab Emirates, U.S. military facilities in Jordan, Qatar, and Bahrain, and the suspension of air traffic in Jordan. Most of the reported incidents had not been independently verified at the time of publication.
According to local reports, a commercial vessel near the UAE coast was struck by an unidentified projectile, damaging its navigation system. No official confirmation or information on casualties was immediately available.
Separate reports also claimed that U.S. military installations in the region had come under attack. In Jordan, local sources reported powerful explosions in the city of Zarqa and alleged missile strikes on U.S. military bases.
Jordanian authorities reportedly suspended all flights at the country’s airports following the incidents, while warning sirens were activated in several areas.
Meanwhile, reports circulated of missile launches toward Bahrain, as well as alleged attacks targeting U.S.-linked vessels operating near the coast of Qatar.
Additional reports claimed that Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar had been targeted and that U.S. naval assets near the Qatari coast were attacked. Security sources also reported that a U.S. Air Force C-17A Globemaster III conducted a medical evacuation mission in Jordan following an alleged missile strike on Muwaffaq Salti Air Base.
