DID Press: US President Donald Trump said a proposed nuclear agreement between the U.S. Department of Energy and Saudi Arabia would be limited strictly to civilian use and would not include any uranium enrichment.
Trump said final approval of the agreement would be conditional on Saudi Arabia joining the Abraham Accords.
He added that Washington has no objection to civilian nuclear facilities that do not involve uranium enrichment, describing the proposed arrangement as a non-military nuclear cooperation framework.
The remarks come amid ongoing discussions between the United States and Saudi Arabia over a possible civilian nuclear partnership and broader regional diplomatic arrangements.
