Taliban Minister Says Conditions for Education Exist Across Afghanistan

DID Press: Taliban Acting Minister of Higher Education Neda Mohammad Nadim said security across Afghanistan has created favorable conditions for education and learning throughout the country.

Speaking at a graduation ceremony at Sheikh Zayed University in Khost province, Nadim said the security situation had improved and that the Taliban administration had provided a suitable environment for education nationwide.He made the remarks without addressing the Taliban’s ongoing ban on women attending universities and broader restrictions on girls’ and women’s education.

Nadim also said all decisions and policies of the Taliban administration are based on “the Book of Almighty God.”The Taliban have faced widespread international criticism over restrictions on female education, including the continued suspension of university education for women.
