DID Press: A United States congressional delegation has met with Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, in Rawalpindi for talks focused on regional security, economic cooperation, and bilateral trade.

According to the Pakistan Army’s Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the delegation included U.S. Representatives Ryan Keith Zinke and Michael James. The meeting was held at the General Headquarters (GHQ) of the Pakistan Army.
The two sides discussed regional security developments, expanding defense and economic cooperation, and strengthening trade relations between Pakistan and the United States.
During the meeting, Asim Munir said that sustainable regional stability depends on economic growth and highlighted Pakistan’s ongoing reforms aimed at attracting foreign investment.
The U.S. delegation acknowledged Pakistan’s role in promoting regional stability and reaffirmed support for deepening economic and commercial ties between Washington and Islamabad.
