Taliban Urges Afghan Investors Abroad to Return Home

DID Press: Taliban has called on Afghan business owners and investors living abroad to relocate their capital and investment activities to Afghanistan, offering a package of incentives aimed at encouraging private investment and boosting domestic production.

In a statement, the Taliban invited Afghan entrepreneurs, industrialists, and investors overseas to contribute to Afghanistan’s economic development by investing in the country’s productive sectors.

According to the statement, the incentive package includes free land in industrial parks, tax exemptions for industrial equipment, machinery, and manufacturing activities, customs exemptions for the import of two vehicles, and housing support for eligible investors.

The Taliban said the measures are intended to create a more favorable investment climate, expand industrial production, generate employment, and attract the capital of Afghans living abroad.

The authorities added that eligible investors would be able to establish new businesses or expand existing operations in Afghanistan under the proposed incentives.
