Afghanistan Records More Than 1.5 Million Air Passengers in One Year

DID Press: Afghanistan’s Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation says more than 1.57 million passengers traveled through the country’s airports over the past year, as flight activity increased across both domestic and international routes.

According to the ministry, 12,832 domestic and international flights were operated during the reporting period through Afghanistan’s international and regional airports, reflecting continued activity in the country’s aviation sector.

Official figures show that 1,570,896 passengers were transported on domestic and international services during the year.

The flights operated through the international airports of Kabul, Kandahar, Herat, and Mazar-e-Sharif, as well as several regional airports, facilitating travel for residents, business travelers, and international passengers.
