DID Press: Kamaluddin Tawhid, head of the Afghanistan-Iran Joint Chamber of Commerce, has arrived in Tehran at the head of a 30-member delegation of Afghan businesspeople and private-sector representatives to attend the International Construction Industry Exhibition. The visit aims to strengthen economic ties, explore Iran’s construction-sector capabilities, and create opportunities for investment and joint cooperation between the two countries.

The delegation comprises 30 Afghan businesspeople and private-sector representatives who are attending the international event to learn about economic capacities and opportunities in the construction sector and explore new avenues for expanding trade and joint investment.

Officials from the Afghanistan-Iran Joint Chamber of Commerce said participation in such exhibitions not only facilitates the exchange of experience and expertise between the private sectors of the two countries, but can also pave the way for joint projects in construction and infrastructure.

They said the initiative could, in the long term, contribute to stronger economic ties and increased trade cooperation between Afghanistan and Iran.
