DID Press: US-based The Intercept has reported that the failure of Mossad operations aimed at destabilizing Iran has contributed to an “internal crisis” in Israel and raised questions about the country’s security calculations.

According to the report, what it described as a “historic Mossad failure” in Iran involved efforts to trigger internal instability through the assassination of Iranian commanders and attempts to mobilize Kurdish groups. The report said these efforts failed to produce the intended outcome and instead exposed weaknesses within Israel’s security establishment.
The Intercept also reported that Mossad’s media and psychological campaigns on social media were met with “mockery and indifference” inside Iranian society, preventing the campaigns from achieving their stated objectives.
The report’s assessment reflects The Intercept’s analysis of Israel’s intelligence operations and should be understood as an attributed interpretation rather than an independently established assessment of Mossad’s capabilities or the broader security situation.
