Shadow Taliban governor for Bamiyan Released from Kabul Prison
Shadow Taliban governor known as Mullah Burhan who was arrested by the police eight years ago and had been transferred to Pul-e Charkhi prison in Kabul, was released, security officials at Bamiyan’s Shibar district say.
“Mullah Burhan who was involved in most of the terrorist and offensive attacks in different parts of Bamiyan province, was arrested 8 years ago during a plot to attack the district chief and the police chief of Shibar district,” said Mohammad Farid, the district chief of Bamiyan province.
“Mullah Farid has been released 2 years ago and was transferred to Pakistan, but he has recently begun his activities in some part of Bamiyan’s Shibar district,” Mr. Farid added.
According to him, Mullah Burhan had led the offensive attacks on police outposts in Shibar district several years ago.
