Russia Offers Expanded Health Cooperation to Afghanistan
DID Press: Taliban’s acting Minister of Public Health, Mawlawi Noor Jalal Jalali, has called for expanded health cooperation with Russia, while Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko expressed Moscow’s readiness to provide technical assistance to Afghanistan’s health sector.

During a meeting with Murashko, Jalali called for cooperation to improve the quality of healthcare services, strengthen the professional capacity of health workers and develop modern medical facilities and technologies.
The two sides also discussed long-term health cooperation, including medicines, vaccines, medical equipment, health-worker training and the transfer of modern medical technologies.
Murashko said Russia was prepared to expand its technical cooperation with Afghanistan’s health sector and help strengthen health ties between the two countries.
