Taliban Railway Chief Travels to Kazakhstan for ECO Regional Meeting

DID Press: Mawlawi Abdul Karim Fateh, head of the Taliban-run Afghanistan Railway Authority, has travelled to Kazakhstan at the head of a technical delegation to attend a regional meeting of the Economic Cooperation Organization (ECO).

Fateh is expected to address the meeting on the current state of Afghanistan’s railway network, ongoing projects and the authority’s future plans. He is also scheduled to exchange views with representatives of ECO member states.

The visit comes as Afghanistan seeks to discuss railway development and regional transport cooperation with neighboring and regional countries.
