DID Press: Pakistan’s Ministry of Interior has announced that the country’s security forces conducted more than 5,000 intelligence-based operations between January and September 2026, killing 2,410 militants during the period.
In a report submitted to Pakistan’s National Assembly, the ministry said security forces and law enforcement agencies carried out a total of 5,143 intelligence-based operations from January 1 to September 29, 2026, under the country’s National Action Plan.
According to the report, the operations resulted in the deaths of 2,410 militants, injuries to 806 others and the arrest of 3,518 people.
The Pakistani government said the operations were aimed at countering militants and strengthening internal security.
