Afghan Special Forces Detained Taliban-key leader in Takhar

Afghan Special Forces detained Qari Abdul Rahim, Taliban’s military for Takhar’s Namak-Ab district of, National directorate of security said in statement on Wednesday.

According to the statement, Qari Abdul Rahim along with his colleague were arrested during an operation by Afghan Special Forces in Talaqan, a city in Takhar province.

“During investigations, Rahim confessed to his involvement in several terrorist activities, saying he and his colleague named Abdul Rahman were trying to plan terrorist attacks in Takhar province against the security forces,” the statement said.

The statement further added that he was a key member of Taliban group in Takhar province.
