Kandahar Public Gathering Held/Government disrupt Unity

 

Kandahar’s major political gathering which was scheduled for Thursday held on Friday in the province.
According to DID news agency report, many critiques of the current government and members of the parliament attended the political gathering.
The participants accuse the government of not having any plan and dividing the ethnics of the country.

The former head of the National Directorate of Security, and a member of the leadership council of Mehwar-e Mardom Rahmatullah Nabil said: “there are groups inside the government that are commanded by “ISI” to disrupt unity among different ethnic groups in the country.
“The government wants to prevent prominent political figures not to attend the gathering while there are people within Arg that have contact with regional intelligence services and terror groups,” Mr Nabil added.

Addressing the event, Anwar-ul-Haq Ahadi, Head of the New National Front of Afghanistan and critique face of the government, said: “the current government does not have a plan for peace and the government is not accountable to people.”
“The government is not ready to hold elections. We must put pressures on government to hold the elections,” Ahadi further said. “The independent election commission is not independent, and we are seriously criticizing the National Unity Government over lack of measures to ensure electoral reforms,” Ahadi added.

Mr. Ahadi said they are upset the government prevented Balkh governor Ata Mohammad Noor and Bator Dostum, son of Gen. Dostum to attend the gathering.

He also accused the government of dividing the people in the name of religion, language, and parties, and even they (government) discriminating among the Pashtuns.

The gathering was held by political elites opposed to what is called the monopoly politics of the Arg palace.
