After Paktia, Ghani Travels to Khost
President Ashraf Ghani arrived in southern Khost province Monday morning at the head of a government delegation.

According to presidential palace (ARG), Mr Ghani will inaugurate Khost airport runway, power station for delivering electricity to 13000 families in the province and number of infrastructure projects.
During the trip he will have separate meetings with Ulama, tribal elders, teachers, provincial council, MPs, women, youth, civil society, Business community and district governors, ARG said in a statement.
A few days ago, president Ghani traveled to Paktia province and met with different classes of people in the province.
Although such trips are common in administrations, according to experts, Mr. Ghani’s trips to southern provinces, have propaganda aspect for the upcoming presidential election than regular government travels.
President Ghani is one of the potential candidates for the 2018 presidential election, as there is a need for election campaigns, the southern zones have often been the field of maneuver for decades.
