Farah governor calls on armed opposition forces to lay down their weapons and join the peace process.
Farah governor Abdul Basir Salangi made the remarks at a joint military session, attended by foreign troops commander in Farah province, Razmohammad Orya Khil, the head of Zafar 207 command and western police chief.

“Armed opposition forces should lay down their weapons and join the peace process, and the people should not place the enemies at their homes,” Farah governor said.
“Those Taliban who do not join the peace should be bombarded by foreign troops and security forces,” he added.

Farah security officials, including the commander of the foreign forces in the province, promised to seriously pursue the clean-up operation.
