On Sunday, a second bombing took place in northern Baghlan province, killing six people, according to provincial officials.
This time, insurgents placed an IED close to a voter registration center in Pul-e-Khumri city in Baghlan.

The explosion happened shortly after 12 noon.
Baghlan officials also confirmed at least five people were wounded in the explosion.

According to them, women and children were among the dead and wounded.
Health officials said the family had been driving past the voter registration center when the explosives were detonated.

This is the fifth attack since Tuesday on the election process.

President Ghani condemn the heinous terrorist attacks in Kabul and Pul-e-Khumri.
He wished Allah’s mercy upon those who martyred, speedy recovery to the wounded, and conveyed his deep condolences to victims’ families.
Mr Ghani instructed relevant institutions to provide support and care to those affected.
