ECC Receives nearly 600 electoral complaints
Afghanistan Electoral Complaints Commission (ECC) says it has received over 580 complaints in central and provincial offices against the parliamentary and district councils candidates.

“most complaints were from those who were removed from the primary list,” said Alireza Rouhani, the commissioner and secretary of the ECC.
According to the election commission, candidates, who were not qualified by the commission or have been removed from the initial list can complain to the ECC.
According to electoral law, candidates who are not qualified by the election commission have two days to register their complaints to the commission, but those who are removed from the list over various reasons, have two weeks to complain since the primary list announced.
The ECC said irresponsible armed men and those who has violated the human rights will be eliminated from the list of candidates.
However, the ECC has begun registering complaints since 30 June. The commission is expected to submit the final result to the IEC on 2 August 2018.
