According to reports, Afghan security forces detained Haji Daoud Khan, a member of the Hezb-e Islami’s central council and the chairman of the party’s Kochi.
According to reports, Afghan security forces detained Haji Daoud Khan, a member of the Hezb-e Islami’s central council and the chairman of the party’s Kochi.
Fazal Ghani Haqmal, a member of the Hezb-e Islami press office, confirmed Haji Daoud Khan’s detention but did not provide more details.
It has not yet been clear why the security forces arrested Haji Daoud Khan.
It is said that this member of the Islamic Party has participated in several peace talks held by the Pagwash Institute in Turkey, Qatar, and other countries.
According to reports, Daoud Khan’s family is living in Pakistan’s Peshawar.
Yet, Hezb-e Islami led by Gulbuddin Hekmatyar and the other security institutions have not officially commented.
