US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has talked with Commander of Resolute Support Mission about Afghan peace process.
“Talked with General Miller about our dedicated military and civilian teams in Afghanistan and efforts to support the reconciliation process. We’re working together with the Afghans and our NATO Allies for a lasting peace,” Mr Pompeo twitted.
According to the US state department, Mr Pompeo has started his trip to the countries in the Middle East.
From January 8-15, Secretary Pompeo travels to Amman, Jordan; Baghdad, Iraq; Erbil, Iraq; Cairo, Egypt; Manama, Bahrain; Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates; Doha, Qatar; Riyadh, Saudi Arabia; Muscat, Oman; and Kuwait City, Kuwait.
During his visit from Doha, he met with Qatari leaders and discussed regional issues as well as Afghanistan.
