NSA Mohib Discusses Counter-Terrorism with Top Saudi Officials

Afghan National Security Adviser (NSA) Hamdullah Mohib met with high-level Saudi officials and discussed counter terrorism on Monday.
During his visit to Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), Mr Mohib separately met with his KSA counterpart Mr Mussad Al Aiban, head of KSA intelligence Gen Khalid Al Humaidan, and Sec Gen. of Islamic Military Coalition for Counterterrorism (IMCTC) Lieutenant Gen. Abdulelah Al Saleh.
Peace process led and owned by Afghans, joint efforts against terrorism, bilateral and multilateral cooperation were discussed, ONSC said in a statement.

Acknowledging the interrelationship between peace and security in Afghanistan and regional security and stability, KSA is ready to support and cooperate with the Government of Afghanistan in its quest for peace and security, the statement added.

During the meetings, the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) and Government of Afghanistan will chalk out plan and coordinate implementation mechanism to jointly combat terrorism.
According to the statement, the coalition will support and stand by Afghanistan at different levels in combating terrorism.
Afghan NSA had previously met with Indian and Chinese high-level officials during his trip to the region and discussed bilateral relations as well as peace and security.
