Why Abdullah Keeps Silent instead of Opposing?
Abdullah kept silent in order to obtain a deputy position at an embassy in one of the remote countries as well as taking two major money-making projects.
Nadima Sahar was officially introduced as the head of the Independent Technical and Vocational Education and Training department by president Ghani.
Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has previously announced that he will introduce her in this post. When the issue released on media users of social networks reacted. Many users chuckled and laughed at the president’s decision; because Ms. Nadima Sahar has no experience regarding the position she was introduced. She was selling antiques and merchandise in the United States, and also worked as a ‘model’ for some time.
High-level officials reacted against the decision as well. The chief executive officer and the second person in the country Abdullah Abdullah severely rejected the president’s decision and said he would oppose it. With the introduction of Ms. Nadima Sahar as the head of Technical and Vocational training office – which is now acting as an independent department under the verdict of president Ghani – there is not any strong opposition from Mr. Abdullah. Leaked issues indicate that Mr Abdullah kept silent due a deal he had carried out. Abdullah kept silent in order to obtain a deputy position at an embassy in one of the remote countries as well as taking two major money-making projects.
Mr. Abdullah often, with his sharp statements, pretends that he is against the decisions of the presidential palace (ARG) and that the interests of the people of Afghanistan are prioritizing him. But, the main issue behind the appointment of Ms Nadima Sahar as the head of the independent technical and vocational training department, is that Mr Abdullah dealt with ARG. The story shows that CEO Abdullah, who must take into account the people’s interests, fulfills his own interests, this is his priority.
Abdullah has always changed his approach and rejected his words. For this reason, many experts believe Abdullah’s threats and his oppositions against ARG are only for taking advantages.
The people of Afghanistan are not as that much forgetful and remember the words of Mr. Abdullah. Although many of these people regret the vote they gave to him in the past election and turned their back on him, Abdullah should understand that with such deals even the history will turn its back at him, inserting his name in the category of those who provided the ground for disloyalty with lies and silence in the country that future generations must pay for it.
