Afghan High Council for National Reconciliation (HCNR) confirmed that the country’s ambassador to Qatar died of illness.
Abdul Hakim Dalili, Afghan ambassador to Qatar, died of an illness, said a spokesman for the HCNR on Tuesday.
“His death is a big loss to Afghanistan and the peace process. The ambassador had made great efforts to advance the peace negotiations,” the spokesman added.
According to reports, the ambassador died of cardiac arrest, but it has not been confirmed by any health source yet.
