Afghan NSA Discusses Various Issues with his Chinese Counterpart
Afghan national security adviser (NSA) Hamdullah Mohib met senior Chinese officials during his trip to Beijing and discussed various issues pertaining to both countries.
Afghan national security adviser (NSA) Hamdullah Mohib met senior Chinese officials during his trip to Beijing and discussed various issues pertaining to both countries.
Mr Mohib met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and discussed bilateral cooperation and peace process.
“We discussed bilateral and regional cooperation, lasting peace and stability in Afghanistan, and future coordination between our countries,” he twitted.
after meeting Mr. Wang Yi, Afghan NSA met his Chinese counterpart Guo Shengkun in Beijing.
“We discussed changing political dynamics in the region, threats and opportunities for the peace process in Afghanistan, and future regional cooperation on security and counter terrorism,” NSA added.
The visit to China comes as Mr Mohib had previously visited India and met with his Indian counterpart.
Mr Mohib had productive meetings in India with his counterpart NSA Ajit Doval and other security officials on regional stability, the democratic progress and ongoing peace efforts in Afghanistan, and bilateral security cooperation.
