Afghanistan-India-China first Trilateral Meeting held in Kabul

The first trilateral meeting between Afghanistan, India, and China headed by Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Mr. Idrees Zaman was held on Saturday at the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.


The first trilateral meeting between Afghanistan, India, and China headed by Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs Mr. Idrees Zaman was held on Saturday at the Afghan Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Ambassadors of the Republic of India and the Peoples Republic of China attended the meeting as well, the Afghan foreign ministry said in a statement.
“Deputy Minister Zaman, counting both countries as old friends and good neighbors of Afghanistan, saying that the three countries should further focus on training civil and military personnel, mining, increased energy production, agriculture and transportation development, regional connectivity, establishing joint chamber of commerce between the three countries, and areas of mutual economic interest,” the statement read.

The Indian and Chinese Ambassadors appreciated MoFa’s contribution in holding the meeting and added that their respective countries are ready for necessary cooperation in the mentioned areas.
