Afghanistan-India Trade Reaches $890 Million in 2024; Trade Balance Favors Afghanistan

DIDPress – The Taliban-led Ministry of Industry and Commerce announced that the trade volume between Afghanistan and India reached $890 million in the year 1403 (March 2024 to March 2025).

According to the ministry’s spokesperson, Akhundzada Abdul Salam Jawad, Afghanistan’s exports to India totaled $627 million, while imports from India stood at $263 million during this period.

Afghanistan’s main export items to India included dried figs, asafoetida and its seeds, saffron, raisins, cumin, and almonds.

The ministry of industry and commerce has already reported an overall increase in Afghanistan’s trade with various countries around the world.
