Afghan National Security Council (NSC) reacted to the terrorist attacks on the 100-bed hospital in Kabul, the attack on a funeral in Nangarhar province and on civilians in a number of provinces, stressing that such attacks are anti-peace.
“The enemies of religion and humanity, by carrying out terrorist attacks during the holy month of Ramadan on Kabul’s 100-bed hospital, a funeral in Nangarhar, and on civilians in Logar and Paktika, have once again shown that the group is not committed to any principle and value and has always behaved inhumanely,” NSC said in a statement.
“The commitment of the Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to bring peace is clear, but the Taliban have committed murder, bloodshed and atrocities by attacking public places and religious and traditional ceremonies, including children, women, elders, patients and doctors, contrary to all religious norms. Humanity and human rights continue to strongly condemn this heinous terrorist attack,” the statement added.
The statement stressed that all other terrorist groups, such as ISIS, the Haqqani Network, Lashkar-e-Taiba and other terrorist networks, are growing under the umbrella of Taliban group. Government information shows that these groups have a lasting and strong relationship with each other and are part of each other and carry out joint activities.
According to the statement, Taliban’s rejection of reduction in violence is against the peace agreement with America and sabotage the peace process.
It is worth mentioning that 24 people were killed and 68 others were wounded in a terrorist attack on a funeral in Nangarhar province while 8 people were killed during a terrorist attack on hospital in Kabul and 11 more were injured.
