Amir Khan Muttaqi Leaves Kabul for Qatar
A high-level delegation led by acting foreign minister Amir Khan Muttaqi left Kabul on Sunday for Qatar.
Taliban Foreign Ministry said in a statement that the delegation, consisting of ministers and deputy minister from various ministries, will hold meetings on “important issues” with representatives of Gulf countries, EU delegation, Islamic Scholars, and diplomatic missions which operate from Doha instead of Kabul.
Some Western countries, including the United States, have moved their embassies from Kabul to Doha after the fall of Kabul.
Qatar has already hosted many meetings between Taliban officials and ambassadors and representatives of Western countries.
