The “International Conference of Muslim Scholars on Peace and Stability in Afghanistan” will be held in Jeddah and Makkah on July 10 and 11 respectively, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
The Afghanistan High Peace Council (HPC) says that clerics from around the world will reveal their stance on Afghanistan peace and war.
The gathering of religious scholars aims at fostering efforts to establish peace and stability in Afghanistan as well as to denounce terrorism and violent extremism in all of its forms and manifestations based on the teachings of the religion of Islam.
Eminent scholars from Afghanistan as well as from various parts of the world will attend the conference.
According to HPC spokesman Ehsanullah Tahiri, the clerics from 120 countries will attend the summit, including the religious scholars of Pakistan.
