“President Ghani ordered security agencies to investigate Taliban group attack on Khaja Omari district,” the presidential palace said in a statement.
According to the statement, Mohammad Ashraf Ghani condemned the Taliban attack on Khaja Omari district and ordered the security forces to comprehensively review the event.
Taliban insurgents attacked Ghazni’s Khaja Omari district at 2:00 am (local time) on Thursday, killing 11 including the district governor and injured 11 soldiers.
It should be noted this is not the first time Taliban group captures districts and provinces of Afghanistan.
