“the door of the election commission bureau was closed by those who take orders from the presidential palace. These agents are pushing not to hold the election in Ghazni at all,” said Sajjadi at a session of the parliament.
The head of the House of Representatives Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi meanwhile said the government and the election commission should carry out their responsibilities.
Mr Ibrahimi warned the government and the commission that if the commission and government do not take measure to reopen the Bureau of the election commission in Ghazni province, the two bodies are responsible for any consequences.
The district election commission’s office in Ghazni has been blocked a month ago as a number of sit-ins protested, demanding to zoning the election in Ghazni province.
The election commission meanwhile promised to address the electoral problem in the province in two days.
However, Ghazni province is among the insecure provinces of Afghanistan. According to residents of the province, Taliban group will prevent people going to the polling stations on the day of the election.
