Ashraf Ghani in Balkh
The head of National Unity Government (NUG) M. Ashraf Ghani arrived in Mazar-e Sharif, the center of northern Balkh province on Wednesday.
The head of National Unity Government (NUG) M. Ashraf Ghani arrived in Mazar-e Sharif, the center of northern Balkh province on Wednesday.
Mr Ghani traveled to northern Balkh province to inaugurate the substation of Kholm district and the distributing network of Marmal district in Balk.
Besides opening the projects of Kholm and Marmal district, president Ghani is said to meet with people affected by drought in Balkh, Sar-e Pul, Faryab, Jawzjan and Samangan provinces.
He will have a separate meeting with civilian and military officials as well.
Although there is no detail about the political trip of Mr Ghani to Balkh province, he may have political meetings in the province too.
It is worth mentioning that this is the second trip of Mr Ghani to Balk along with tensions, he had with Ata M. Noor, the CEO of Jamiat-e Islami in the past year.
