At least 63 people were killed and 182 others were wounded in a suicide attack in Kabul wedding hall on Saturday night, according to officials.
The Taliban spokesman Suhail Shaheen denied responsibility for the blast which occurred at about 10:40 pm (local time) in Kabul police district sixth (PD-6).
It follows a bomb attack on a mosque in Pakistan on Friday that killed a brother of Taliban leader Haibatullah Akhundzada. No one claimed responsibility for that blast, which killed four people and wounded about 20.
Photos posted on social media show bodies fallen amid overturned table and chairs at the wedding hall.
According to Interior Ministry spokesman Nasrat Rahimi, the suicide bomber struck the men’s reception area.
All injured people have been evacuated to hospitals.
No group has claimed responsibility.
