Ata M. Noor Discusses Peace process, Bilateral Relations with Iranian Foreign Ministry officials
Leader of Jamiat-e Islami party Ata Mohammad Noor met with the assistant to Iranian foreign minister and director-general of South Asia Sayed Rasoul Mousavi and adviser to Iranian Foreign Minister Mansour Shakib Mehr in Mazar-e Sharif.
During the meeting which was held on Tuesday, the sides conferred on the peace process, its consequences, and bilateral relations between the two countries.
The Iranian delegation assured of continued cooperation with the government and people of Afghanistan and stressed the need to strengthen relations between the two countries.
The leader of the Jamiat-e-Islami party also thanked Iran for its support during the era of resistance and subsequent period to the people and government of Afghanistan, saying that Iran’s support will never be forgotten.
It is worth mentioning that Tehran has always emphasized the Afghan-led and Afghan-owned peace process, adding that regional capacities are important for the success of the peace process.
