“It was widely perceived that a terrible crime had taken place in one of the most sacred days of Muslims by the enemies of religion and humanity, and dozens of our beloved citizens were martyred and injured,” the GNC statement read.
“the GNC condemns this brutal attack in the most extreme terms, and expresses its hatred and disgust for those who commit the crime,” the statement added.
Criticizing the security sectors, the statement called on the government to put the security of people on top of its agenda.

At least 50 were killed and more than 80 were injured during the attack on a ceremony held Tuesday night to commemorate the birth anniversary of Prophet Muhammad.
