The residents of northern Baghlan province took to streets Sunday, following rallies in support of the National Coalition for the Salvation of Afghanistan and reaction against the detention of Qaisari.
A large number of people demonstrated in Baghlan province, carrying pictures of the leaders of National Coalition for the Salvation of Afghanistan (NCSA) as well as slogans in support of the members of the coalition, urging the government to release Nezamuddin Qaisari.

Last week, the central government arrested Qaisari, a public uprising commander in Faryab province and transferred him to Kabul.

Earlier, the NCSA said in a statement that arresting Qaisari is “provocative” and called on the government to release him as soon as possible.
The NCSA had warned if Mr Qaisari is not freed, it will launch civil movements in other provinces, the statement added.

The protests reached Baghlan province as people massively protested in Faryab, Jawzjan, Sar-e Pul, Balkh, and Samangan provinces on Saturday, warning the government if it does not answer the demands of the people, they will organize more protests.
