Balkh Reacts against Gilani’s Remarks: You are ‘fifth pillar’
Civil activists, provincial council lawyers, and journalists in Balkh reacted to the statements made by Sayed Hamid Gilani, the leader of Hezb-e Mahaz-e Milli.
On Saturday, the leader of Maz-e Milli party Sayed Hamid Gilani at a press conference briefed that Taliban leaders are not outside Afghanistan and in Pakistan but most of Taliban leaders are inside Afghanistan.
Civil activists, provincial council lawyers and journalists during a gathering, condemned the recent statements made by Mr Gilani and read him as a member of the ‘figth pillar.’
“Mr Gilani express these statements while the international community read the Pakistani government as terrorist trainer state and wants to confront it but Mr Gilani as a leader of a party in Afghanistan intends to exonerate the Pakistani government,” said Najib Paykan, a member of Balkh’s civil activist leadership.
“Recent statement of Gilani more clarified that who are the members of the ‘fifth pillar’ in the country,” Sayed M. Yazdanparast, CEO of Radio Nehad said.
Meanwhile, the Afghan National Directorate of Security (NDS) has reacted to recent statements by Sayed Hamid Gilani, “irresponsible statements are due to lack of accurate information. Claiming the presence of the Taliban leadership on the territory of Afghanistan is contrary to the realities of the whole world and the people of Afghanistan.”
