COVID-19 Cases Exceed 14,000 in Afghanistan
The Afghan Ministry of Public Health announced Saturday that with 866 new coronavirus cases in the country, the total number of patients has topped 14,525.
The Afghan Ministry of Public Health announced Saturday that with 866 new coronavirus cases in the country, the total number of patients has topped 14,525.
The Ministry said in a statement that in the last 24 hours, 866 new positive cases of coronavirus have been registered in different provinces of the country.
According to the statement, 411 cases were only recorded in Kabul during this time and 177 cases in western Herat province.
In the last 24 hours, 44 patients have been recovered which brings the total number to 1,333 in the country while 3 patients died which makes the total deaths to 249.
The coronavirus cases have been on the rise in recent days, raising concerns about the epidemic.
