In the past 24 hours, 741 suspicious COVID-19 cases were tested in the laboratories, in which, 121 cases were turned out positive, the Ministry said in a statement on Sunday.
Kabul, Herat, Balkh, Nangarhar, Kandahar, and Paktia have the highest number of infections.
According to the ministry, 387 patients have been recovered during the past 24 hours. The total number of recoveries has reached 25,180 across the country.
12 patients have died in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 1,259 so far.
The ministry once again reiterated its call for health guidelines, such as wearing a mask and maintaining social distance.
